Welcome To The Very First Issue Of Deez Art Of Living!

“Life isn’t asking you to become someone else. It’s inviting you to become more of who you were created to be.”

There is something incredibly special about beginnings. They are filled with hope, possibility, and the quiet courage to believe that something beautiful can grow from a single idea. This magazine has lived in my heart for a long time, and I am excited to finally share it with you.

Deez Art of Living was born from my belief that life is more than simply existing—it is about creating, growing, healing, and living with intention. It is a space where art meets purpose, where stories inspire reflection, and where every page encourages you to embrace the beauty of becoming.

There was a time when I believed a meaningful life was measured by how much I could accomplish. My days were filled with meetings, deadlines, teaching, raising my family, serving my community, and showing up for everyone who needed me. I wore every title with pride—mother, leader, educator, mentor, volunteer, friend—and I gave each role everything I had. From the outside, my life looked successful. I was building a career, achieving goals, and making a difference. Yet, beneath the accomplishments, I often felt like I was moving through life on autopilot. I was busy creating a life, but I wasn’t always taking the time to truly live it.

Somewhere along the journey, I realized that busyness and fulfillment are not the same thing.

Life has a way of inviting us to pause. Sometimes that invitation comes through unexpected challenges, disappointment, exhaustion, or simply the quiet realization that something within us is longing for more. For me, it wasn’t one defining moment. It was a series of gentle awakenings that reminded me there was another way to live.

I began asking myself different questions.

What brings me peace?

What truly matters?

What kind of life do I want to create—not just for my family, but for myself?

Those questions changed everything.

Instead of simply reacting to life’s demands, I started making intentional choices. I rediscovered my love for painting and found healing through creativity. I returned to writing, spent more time in my garden, embraced slower mornings, and learned to appreciate the quiet moments I had once rushed past. Little by little, I stopped measuring my life by how busy I was and started measuring it by how fulfilled I felt.

Intentional living will look different for each of us. For one woman, it may mean pursuing a dream she’s put on hold. For another, it may mean prioritizing family, protecting her peace, or simply learning to say “no” without guilt. There is no single path to living intentionally—only the path that aligns with your values, your purpose, and the life you want to create.

As you journey through this issue, I invite you to ask yourself one simple question:

Am I living by design or by default?

You don’t have to have all the answers today. What matters is your willingness to begin. Because a meaningful life isn’t built from extraordinary days—it is built from ordinary moments lived with extraordinary intention.

Once again, welcome to Deez Art of Living. I hope each issue inspires you to slow down, dream bigger, live purposefully, and create a life that feels beautifully and authentically yours.

Here’s to living intentionally—one beautiful choice at a time!
